The sulfate kinetics in an anaerobic, sulfate-reducing biofilm were investigated with an annular biofilm reactor. Biofilm growth, sulfide production, and kinetic constants (K(m) and V(max)) for the bacterial sulfate uptake within the biofilm were determined.
